These Terms of Use govern the website, member services, event registration and member community provided by the Korea Singapore Golfers Association (KSGA).
By using the service or completing account registration, you agree to the version of these Terms then in effect. The separate Privacy Policy applies to the handling of personal data.
1. Purpose and scope of the service
KSGA provides association notices, golf information, event information and registration, a community for email-verified members, and member account functions.
Features may be added, changed, suspended or withdrawn as operations develop. Where reasonably practicable, material changes will be announced on the website or by member email.
2. Registration and account security
Members must provide accurate, current information and complete email verification before using member-only functions. KSGA does not use a separate administrator approval step for ordinary membership.
Accounts and authentication credentials are personal. Members must notify KSGA promptly if they become aware of unauthorised use, and may correct permitted details or request withdrawal through the account service.
- Do not register with another person’s information or share one account between multiple people.
- A person with limited legal capacity must obtain valid parental or guardian consent where required.
- Do not disclose passwords or email verification and password-reset links to another person.
3. Community standards
The member community is a respectful space for email-verified members to share information and experience relating to golf and KSGA activities.
Members are responsible for their posts, comments, images and attachments. They must distinguish fact from opinion and respect the privacy and rights of others.
4. Prohibited conduct and content
The service must not be used in breach of applicable law, these Terms or published community rules.
- Encouraging unlawful conduct, threats, harassment, hate, discrimination, defamation or violence
- Publishing another person’s email, telephone number, address, image or other personal data without authority
- Impersonation, deliberate falsehoods, or deceptive manipulation of event or golf information
- Content that infringes copyright, trade marks, image rights or other third-party rights
- Spam, unlawful trade, gambling, pyramid schemes, repeated unapproved advertising or commercial promotion
- Malware, automated scraping, service disruption, security circumvention or account takeover attempts
- Event images without confirmed publication consent or material containing sensitive personal information
5. Member content and limited licence
Members retain their rights in content they create. By posting, a member grants KSGA a non-exclusive licence to copy, format, transmit, display, store and back up that content only as reasonably necessary to operate the service, improve accessibility and handle reports.
The licence is limited to service operations. It ends when the content is deleted, except to the extent reasonably required for legal obligations, dispute handling, audit records and ordinary backup retention.
6. Reports, moderation and restrictions
KSGA may temporarily hide, request changes to or remove content that may breach these Terms. Repeated or serious breaches, security risks or lawful requests may result in a warning, suspension or account termination.
KSGA may act without prior notice where necessary to prevent urgent harm. Where practicable, the member will be told the reason and how to raise a review request. Moderation records and personal data will be retained only to the extent reasonably necessary.
7. Events and registration
The notice for each event governs its schedule, venue, capacity, eligibility and cancellation rules. Members must register only for themselves and must not submit duplicate registrations or use another person’s eligibility.
The MVP does not provide online payments. Where a participation fee applies, members must follow the separately stated operator-confirmation process. Events may be changed or cancelled for safety, weather, venue or operational reasons.
8. Golf information and external links
KSGA takes reasonable steps to keep information current, but course prices, bookings, operating rules and third-party content can change. Users should verify material information with the relevant official source before visiting or transacting.
External links are provided for convenience. They do not mean that KSGA controls or endorses the external service, its security, products or transactions.
9. Service availability
KSGA may suspend all or part of the service for maintenance, security response, events beyond reasonable control, network failure or operational need. Planned interruptions will be announced where practicable.
Subject to rights that cannot lawfully be limited, KSGA does not promise that the service will always be uninterrupted or error-free.
10. KSGA content and intellectual property
Excluding member content, rights in the website design, editorial material, logos, wording, data structures and software belong to KSGA or the relevant rights holder.
Use beyond personal, non-commercial viewing requires prior permission from the rights holder, unless permitted by law including applicable fair dealing exceptions.
11. Personal data
KSGA handles personal data under the Privacy Policy. Acceptance of these Terms, required privacy consent and optional marketing consent are presented and recorded separately.
Members may request access or correction and may withdraw consent. Withdrawal of consent needed for a service may mean that some member functions can no longer be provided.
12. Responsibility and liability
Users remain responsible for their posts, arrangements with other members, external transactions and decisions relating to golf activities. KSGA is not a party to private transactions or disputes between users.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, KSGA is not liable for unforeseeable indirect loss or loss caused by a user’s breach of these Terms. Nothing in this section excludes liability or mandatory rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
13. Changes to these Terms
KSGA may amend these Terms to reflect changes in law, the service or operational policy. A material change affecting member rights or obligations will be announced before it takes effect, and the new version and effective date will be displayed.
A member who does not accept a change may stop using the service and request withdrawal before it takes effect. Fresh consent will be requested where required by law.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms and use of the service are governed by the laws of Singapore. The parties will first try to resolve a dispute in good faith, and unresolved disputes will be submitted to the courts of Singapore to the extent permitted by applicable law.
